Finding Help for Your IBS Symptoms

Finding Help For Symptoms

Are you frustrated with a trial and error approach to end your symptoms of gas, pain and bloating?

Are you tired of the rollercoaster of going from practitioner to practitioner only to be disappointed by their lack of  long-term drug free solutions?

I understand your pain, frustration, disappointment and feeling that no one can help but if I know you, settling is not an option.

What  I wish I knew …

When looking for the right person to help solve  my health concerns.

Not only would it have saved time and money, I would have felt better sooner!

  1. Relying on Single Solution

The human body is a complex piece of engineering.

By the time we recognize and admit to having symptoms, our bodies have been quietly compensating for some time.

Focusing on a single solution fails to recognize the interconnectedness of the organs and systems of the human body. Nor does it create a complete picture of your overall health.

A single solution is unlikely to give effective results in a timely manner and may make your symptoms worse.

These may include only changing your diet, or only recommending supplements.

  1. Failing to Ask about Your Diet

The saying ‘you are what you eat” is only part of the story.

Understanding what you digest is more revealing and more important!

When we are unable to digest the foods we eat – no matter how organic or how fresh they are, it creates nutritional stress in our bodies. Nutritional stress creates an  increase in waste products.  Removal the water requires more energy  and can cause other problems while they accumulate.

Continuing to consume foods indigestible for YOUR body is like scratching an open wound.

Scratching worsens the wound and it takes longer to heal.

  1. Failing to Prioritize

Symptoms rarely occur overnight or suddenly.

Our bodies quietly compensate to maintain homeostasis and by the time we admit to symptoms, there’s usually more than one area of our body needing help.

Without the proper testing, it’s difficult to know where to start and leads to a one size fits none solution.

Without prioritizing care based on genetic weaknesses and the cause of your symptoms, it’s difficult to find the real reason for your symptoms.

Consistent results occur by addressing the most basic or foundational problems first.

Methodically solving basic problems first, creates strength and integrity to continue to reclaim our quality of life.

Building a majestic palace in the sand without a foundation is foolish.

Similarly failing to prioritize the sequence of your health care is unlikely to address the true cause or causes of the problem.

  1. Failing to Test Objectively and Selectively

Relying solely on symptoms does not offer a complete picture of your health or a credible way to prioritize your health care.

Objective testing by reputable labs is essential.

Objective testing may include urinalysis, blood serum and saliva testing or stool testing based on a personal evaluation.

Selectively choosing tests is a balance between fiscal responsibility and a thorough understanding of the human body and systems.

No one likes to spend money unnecessarily and understanding the priority of systems in the body lead to more personalized care and results.

By knowing what to be wary of, here are some indications you’ve found a suitable practitioner:

  1. They Recognize the Role of Stress

Stress is mechanical, nutritional or emotional.

Each is significant with nutritional stress the easiest to address in most cases.

Inconsistent stress like being stuck in a traffic jam or being late to meeting doesn’t usually have a lasting effect.

However, emotional stresses like a divorce, loss of a loved one, a job change or financial problems accentuate weaknesses in our bodies.

It’s not uncommon to have health crisis six or twelve months after such a stressful time.

This is when your body needs the appropriate support to heal from within.

Nutritional stress from not being able to digest and absorb your meals is key to regaining your quality of life.

Whether you want to travel, spend time with your family, regain your energy or sleep through the night, digesting and absorbing your nutrients in your food is critical!

  1. Help a Specific Group of People

Have you heard the saying – one size fits none?!

You’ve spent enough time, money and energy experimenting and helping practitioners learn at your expense.

It’s time for a laser-focused approach built on understanding the right tests, the right questions and prioritizing your health care based on your body state of stress.

Working with a practitioner with a detailed knowledge and understanding of your specific symptoms is critical to your success.

These people have lived through the denial of symptoms, the pain of symptoms and the frustration of avoiding social events due to their symptoms.

  1. Personally Understand What It’s Like to Put Life on Hold

Personal experience counts.

Practitioners who’ve experienced and may still be experiencing symptoms understand the road to recovery usually includes setbacks or a flare of symptoms.

They have experienced how easy it can be for the delicate balance in our body to be upset leading to experiencing the same symptoms all over again.

They understand there’s no magic bullet and anyone offering this is to be avoided!

If you’re reading this today, I’m sure you or someone you care about would like to feel better.

You’ve already spent significant time, energy and money without getting better and you probably feel like giving up.

If you’re struggling to find someone with the three signs above, I encourage you to read my story, give me a call or email to schedule an initial consultation.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you to identify and solve the cause of your symptoms.
